Our small business committee is opening applications for the 2026 Growth Grant cycle. We are awarding twelve $25,000 non-dilutive grants to businesses headquartered in Wake, Durham or Orange County that have been trading for at least twelve months. Funds can go toward equipment, hiring, marketing or working capital — no equity, no repayment. Applications are reviewed by a panel of local operators and lenders, and every applicant receives written feedback whether or not they are funded. We especially want to hear from the main-street businesses that never apply for anything: restaurants, trades, salons, childcare, light manufacturing. Applications close September 30 and awards are announced in November at the annual meeting.
