PitchMap Privacy Policy
Effective September 17, 2026
PitchMap (“we”, “us”) is a professional networking platform operated by YUMIBIZ Corp. This policy explains what information we collect when you use pitchmap.app or the PitchMap mobile apps, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account and profile information — your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and anything you add to your profile: photo, headline, bio, role, industry, skills, links, and video pitch.
- Location— with your permission, your device’s location, used to show you on the map and find people, events and communities near you. Other members never see your exact position: your public pin is offset by up to about two miles. You can decline location access and set your city manually instead.
- Content you create — posts, messages, comments, events, communities, jobs and company pages. Direct messages are visible only to their participants.
- Payment information — if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep only your subscription status and billing history.
- Device and usage information — app version, platform, and, if something breaks, a crash report (the error, the screen it happened on, and the app build) so we can fix it.
- Push notification tokens — if you turn notifications on, the device token needed to deliver them.
How we use it
- To run the product: show the map, match you with relevant people, deliver messages and notifications.
- To keep the platform safe: moderation, spam prevention, and investigating abuse reports.
- To improve PitchMap: understanding what breaks and what gets used.
- To communicate with you: service emails, and — only if you opt in — product updates.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run PitchMap, only to the extent needed: payment processing (Stripe), hosting and storage, map display (Mapbox), sign-in (Google, Apple — if you choose them), and push notification delivery (Google, Apple). Profile information you mark as visible is shown to other members as part of the product. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices
- Location, camera and notification permissions can be granted or revoked in your device settings at any time.
- “Visible on the map” can be turned off in the app — you remain a member without a pin.
- Email preferences are controlled in the app, and every non-essential email carries an unsubscribe link.
- You can delete your account in the app (menu → Account). Deletion removes your profile and content; records we must keep for legal or billing reasons are retained only as required.
Data retention and security
We keep your information while your account exists and delete or anonymize it when you delete your account, except where the law requires longer. All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), and access to production data is restricted.
Children
PitchMap is a professional network and is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 to use it; we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, we’ll say so in the app before the change takes effect. Questions or requests about your data: hello@pitchmap.app.
