Why can't I message this person?
On the free plan you can act on people within 7 miles. Further out you can look, but not touch.
If Message or Connect is unavailable, distance is almost always the reason. Free membership can act on anyone within 7 miles; beyond that you can see the person and read their profile, but not contact them, join their group or apply to their post.
This is the one thing Unlimited genuinely gates, and it is deliberately the only one: seeing stays free so the network is honest about who is out there.
- Within 7 miles and still blocked? They may have blocked you, or their account may be suspended.
